BizAway, the Italian scale-up leading the digitalization of business travel, announces the strategic acquisition of Aervio, one of the top TMCs in Spain (ranked 11th nationally according to BTN) and specialized in artificial intelligence solutions for the business travel sector. This operation marks a significant step in the company’s innovation path, aimed at strengthening its technological capabilities and anticipating the evolving needs of a rapidly changing market.

Founded in April 2016 (almost exactly nine years ago), Aervio has established itself through the development of AI-based tools capable of optimizing travel planning. Its integration will allow BizAway to further enhance its proprietary platform, offering an even more efficient, personalized, and proactive service.

Most of the Aervio team will join BizAway, with new colleagues being integrated into BizAway’s Spanish offices.

The announcement comes during a period of strong growth for BizAway: in September 2024, the scale-up closed a €35 million funding round led by Mayfair Equity Partners and b, achieving the top position among European companies in the Hospitality & Travel category.
