How to stay safe when using BizAway: best practices to keep your account secure
At BizAway, protecting your data is one of our highest priorities. We continuously invest in security measures, industry best practices, and internationally recognized standards to help keep your account and business travel information secure.Like any digital platform, BizAway can be imitated by third parties attempting to deceive users through fraudulent websites or misleading online advertisements. While these attempts happen outside of our platform, understanding how they work is one of the best ways to keep your account protected.
Recognizing phishing attempts
Some cybercriminals are spreading fake ads in search engines that, when clicked, redirect users to fraudulent web pages. These sites perfectly mimic the login interfaces of well-known platforms, deceiving users and prompting them to enter their credentials. This information is then intercepted and used for unauthorized access. Fortunately, these scams often share common characteristics. By knowing what to look for, you can quickly identify suspicious pages and browse with greater confidence.
Best practices to keep your account secure
- Always check the URL:
Phishing sites mimic real domains with slight spelling variations (e.g., b1zaw4y.com instead of bizaway.com). Before logging in, carefully verify the web address in the browser’s address bar. - Use bookmarks to access the platform:
Do not search for the platform on Google or other search engines: deceptive ads may appear in the results. Instead, bookmark the link provided to you during onboarding. - Protect your digital security:
Use up-to-date antivirus software, prefer browsers with anti-phishing protection, and use secure password managers. If possible, separate personal devices from professional ones. - Regularly monitor activity on your account:
Check that all bookings and operations are correct. If there are discrepancies or suspicious activity, contact our team immediately. - Manage platform access:
If you manage a team, periodically check active users and deactivate accounts that are no longer in use. Reducing unused access helps limit risks.
An important reminder
BizAway is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, the international standard for information security management, confirming our commitment to protecting our customers’ data with the highest security standards.
- You will never be asked for sensitive data or login credentials (such as passwords, OTPs, or credit card numbers) via email, SMS, or phone calls.
- Official communications will only come from email addresses with the domain @bizaway.com.
- We provide advanced tools to ensure the security of our customers, but responsible behavior from users is also essential.
- If you suspect you’ve fallen victim to a phishing attempt, contact your account manager immediately.
